Careers at Vokitoki
Build the future of local communities.
Every line of code, every design, every idea helps people discover local businesses, communicate instantly, and strengthen the neighbourhoods they live in.
Why join Vokitoki
Do the best work of your life, for the street you live on.
Real community impact
Ship something on Tuesday; watch a real shop use it on Wednesday.
Work from anywhere
Remote-friendly by default — each role says what it needs.
Meaningful problems
Voice, maps, commerce, community — hard problems worth solving.
Small team, big ownership
No layers between you and the product. Your call ships.
Fast learning, fast growth
Wear many hats, grow into the ones that fit.
Healthy work culture
Sustainable pace. Kind, direct people.
Mission-driven
One connected neighbourhood — everything serves that.
Modern stack
Modern tools chosen deliberately — boring where it should be, sharp where it counts.
Our mission
Why this work matters.
Local life got scattered across a phone full of apps — and the neighbourhood lost. Shops became invisible. Neighbours became strangers. Value left the street.
Vokitoki exists to reverse that. One app where communication, commerce, services, maps and community are connected — so being local becomes an advantage again.
That’s what you’d be building here. Not features. Not screens. The connective tissue of India’s neighbourhoods.

Engineering at Vokitoki
How we build.
Modern stack
TypeScript, React and Next.js on the web; native Android in your pocket.
Product-first
Engineers talk to users. The best PRs start with a shopkeeper’s complaint.
Clean architecture
Boring, well-bounded systems that let us move fast for years, not weeks.
Fast releases
Small changes, shipped often, measured honestly.
AI-curious future
We adopt AI where it genuinely helps neighbours — not for the press release.
Continuous learning
Code review as teaching. Post-mortems without blame.
FAQ
Questions, answered straight.
Can I work remotely?
Most roles, yes — we’re remote-friendly by default. Some roles (like community) work best on the ground; every listing says which.
How long is the interview process?
Typically 1–2 weeks from application to offer: intro call, craft interview, culture conversation, decision.
Do you hire freshers?
We hire for potential and proof of curiosity. Some roles need experience — the listing will say so. If you’ve built something, show us.
Do you offer internships?
Occasionally, when there’s a real project and a real mentor. Send an open application and tell us what you want to learn.
Is relocation required?
Not for remote roles. For Bangalore-based roles, we’ll discuss what works during the process.
What’s the tech stack?
TypeScript, React and Next.js on the web; native Android for the app. We pick tools deliberately — boring where it should be, sharp where it counts.
What are the benefits?
Flexible work, learning budget, proper equipment and more — see the benefits section above, and ask us anything in the intro call.
Don’t just build apps.
Build the future of every neighbourhood.
Engineer, designer, marketer, product manager, community builder — come build something that matters.
